In term of your position, what are your plans for the 2012-2013 school year?

I always have enjoyed going to the open lectures given by the professors of Pierce College Puyallup, and as a Post member I would like to report on these lectures.

What should the Puyallup campus students know about you?

I am a Running Start student going into my senior year of high school. I intend to continue my education on the East Coast and major in fine arts, then carry on for my master’s degree.

What do you do in your free time?

I really enjoy painting, especially landscapes and portraits. It’s an activity that calms and excites me at the same time. I also like playing tennis, an activity I do quite often with my brother and sister.

What’s your secret tip to do well in your classes?

I find it better to constantly be studying for the future. The more time you have with the material, the more you will be familiar with it. Going over the material continually and rewriting all your notes helps with memorization.

Personally or professionally, what are you looking forward to during this school year?

I am looking forward to maintaining the standards I held last school year, pertaining to my classes, as well as being a member of The Puyallup Post.

In terms of your new position, what are your plans for the 2012-13 school year?

To report on issues that matter to students and learn more about the perspective of Pierce students.

What should Puyallup campus students know about you?

I am coming back to school after working for a few years and the college environment here is challenging and exciting for me. I love the opportunity to be engaged.

What do you do in your free time?

I like to play guitar, hike, bike, go to the movies and read, read, read.

What do you wish more students knew about Pierce College Puyallup?

There are great services available to students for cheap or free that are hard to get elsewhere, such as the Health Education Center, the Child Development Center and the counselors.

What’s your secret tip to do well in your classes?

Get engaged with the material. Put down distractions and find out what’s interesting about the subject. All knowledge is connected, and if you’re interested in something, then learning more doesn’t feel like a chore.

Personally or professionally, what are you looking forward to during this school year?

Learning more about working in a knowledge-based field and stretching my writing muscles.

In terms of your new position, what are your plans for the 2012-13 school year?

My plans are pretty simple, finish at Pierce and then move onto a four-year college.

What should Puyallup campus students know about you?

I’d like people to know I’m approachable and mellow. Along with the fact that if you get me on the topic of movies, TV or video games I can rant for hours (or minutes) on end.

What do you do in your free time?

I usually spend a lot of my free time alone mostly watching any good movie or TV show (old and new) or playing any good video games (old and new), I can come across and review. Other than that, I sometimes hang out with my friends when I have the chance.

What do you wish more students knew about Pierce College Puyallup?

I wish students knew more about what was going on around campus. The reason is because whenever I ask people if they have heard anything interesting they respond with the always classic “I don’t know” answer.

What’s your secret tip to do well in your classes?

My secret tip isn’t really a secret, it’s pretty simple actually. Just study until what you have studied sinks in to the point where you can rant about it. Effort and hardwork is key; simple as that.

Personally or professionally, what are you looking forward to during this school year?

Personally, I’m looking forward to earning more credits.

I am interested in a wide range of things, and I love meeting new people.

What do you do in your free time?

I don’t usually have a huge amount of free time with school and soccer, but I love to read, write, sing, laugh and be spontaneous.

What do you wish more students knew about Pierce College Puyallup?

I wish more students knew just how talented each individual is. The more people I meet at Pierce, the more amazed I am by all the different skills and talents we have on campus.

What’s your secret tip to do well in your classes?

I set goals and then work my very hardest to accomplish them. Nothing is more rewarding than getting back your finals and knowing you did all you could do and you have no regrets.

Personally or professionally, what are you looking forward to during this school year?

This is my senior year of high school, so I am going too busy. I look forward to those times where I’ll be able to relax and take the time to make memories and laugh.
