The Tea Leaf restaurant has some of the best Chinese food that your mouth will ever devour.
At first sight the restaurant looks run down and shabby, a place where you would never trust their food. You park across the street from the building. Walk inside, and you will find that it is a family-run business with satisfactory customer service.
The Tea Leaf can seat about 40-50 people. It’s a good place for large groups of people as well as children. There is no outdoor seating.
No reservations are needed. The restaurant doesn’t deliver, but it does have take out. It serves lunch and dinner. As far as alcoholic beverages, beer and wine are available.
It is wheelchair accessible.
The Tea Leaf accepts cash and credit cards. The price is just right.
While dining there, there are many attention grabbing foods. Their almond chicken and egg flower soup are to die for.
A few other favorites off their menu are fried rice, sweet and sour pork, special chicken, general tso’s chicken, Mongolian beef, spicy Jop-che and mouthwatering egg rolls.
You will not be disappointed with the quality of food. Don’t forget to grab a complementary fortune cookie on the way out.
The Tea Leaf is at 528 Garfield St. S. in Tacoma near Pacific Lutheran University.
