Members of the Pierce College women’s basketball team recently visited patients of Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma.
The players and coaches made two visits on Oct. 27, and Nov. 3. On each visit the players spent about an hour and a half meeting with and talking to children in the intensive care ward of the hospital.
The players presented each patient with an autographed basketball, signed by all of the players and coaches from this year’s women’s basketball team.
The Raiders kickoff their season in the Clackamas Thanksgiving Tournament in Oregon City Nov. 26 and open up home play Dec. 10 in the Raiders Invitational held at the Ft. Steilacoom Health Education Center.
