Students taking summer classes may think there are no services or support available, but Pierce College does offer summer services.
The bookstore will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m.-5 p.m. and will be open on Fridays from 7:45 a.m.-noon.
The library staff is still waiting to hear about budget information for next year to decide on what the library’s hours will be for the summer.
The Child Development Center will continue to offer its services to students currently enrolled in a spring quarter classes or registered for fall quarter. There is a one quarter grace period offered, so if a student is graduating at the end of this quarter then they are allowed to use the Child Development Center for summer quarter. The hours for the child development center are from 6:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. There is often a waitlist, so students are urged to sign their children up early.
The Health Education Center will be open during the summer as well. The hours of the HEC will be 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the HEC will be open from 6:30 a.m.-noon. Friday hours may be extended until 1 p.m. You may use the facilities at the HEC if you are currently enrolled in spring quarter or if you are registered for fall quarter. The price is $15 for a membership.
Both the Child Development Center and the HEC will close for the break between the end of summer quarter on Aug. 19 and the first day of fall quarter. The gym may reopen a few days before the start of fall quarter.
The college will close at noon on Fridays during the summer.
